Job Title: Night Shift (PM) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Position Summary:
The Night Shift CNA provides direct, hands-on care to residents during overnight hours. This role focuses on maintaining resident comfort, safety, and dignity while assisting with routine care needs and monitoring for changes in condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Reposition residents to prevent skin breakdown and maintain comfort
Answer call lights promptly and provide timely assistance
Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff
Assist with transfers and mobility using proper techniques
Take and record vital signs as assigned
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Provide incontinence care and maintain proper hygiene
Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Follow all infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications:
Current CNA certification in the state of Arkansas
Previous long-term care experience preferred but not required
Ability to work independently during overnight hours
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods
Frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of residents (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance)
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
Work Schedule:
Full-time or part-time night shift (PM/overnight hours)
Includes weekends and holidays as needed
