Job Title: Part-Time Dietary Dishwasher

Position Summary:
The Dietary Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, equipment, and work areas. This role supports the dietary team by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and assisting with general kitchen duties in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dish room, and storage areas
Dispose of trash and maintain waste areas in a sanitary condition
Assist with putting away deliveries and stocking supplies
Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Follow infection control and food safety guidelines
Assist dietary staff with basic kitchen tasks as needed
Keep floors clean and free of hazards (sweeping and mopping)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching (up to 30–40 lbs)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot, and wet environment

Work Schedule:

Part-time position
